New viewer?  Hello!  Visit this start here page first to understand what this show is all about!

One of my favorite business shows on TV right now is The Profit with Marcus Lemonis.  I love how practical it is for helping small business owners, and Marcus always invests his own money, so you can’t say fairer than that!

The episode I descontruct in this weeks episode is probably the most shocking one I’ve seen.  The owners of 240Sweet gradually go off the rails until one of them admits they were simply using Marcus for publicity!  Shocking!

As usual, please let me know your thoughts about the episode – leave your comment below, it’s really easy to do, and I’d LOVE to hear whatever is on your mind!

Don’t forget to check out my live tour dates above!

Enjoy the show!

New viewer?  Well hello!  Visit this start here page first to understand what this show is all about!

Last week I highlighted the ridiculous supermarket sign that tells customers to count to 15 with their 3 hands!
That would prove difficult for most people but I’ve come up with a creative solution!

While on the subject of supermarkets, The Ralph’s chain in California has implemented giant screens over their checkouts.  The problem is, there’s no explanation of the 3 circles on screen.  Nothing.  I asked 3 staff and no one knew!  Hmmm…

My special guest for this episode is the actor Glenn Morshower, who seems to be on the big and small screens everywhere!  He’s been in more than 200 TV shows and movies, including his now famous role as Secret Service agent and protector of the President, Aaron Pierce, in the hit Fox TV show “24” with Kiefer Sutherland.  We talk about how Glenn manages to get so many roles so easily, and how he stands out from the crowd during auditions.  Glenn also enjoys speaking on tour, with a program called “The Extra Mile”.

As usual, please let me know your thoughts about the episode – leave your comment below, it’s really easy to do, and I’d LOVE to hear whatever is on your mind!

Enjoy the show!

New viewer?  Good day to you!  Visit this start here page first to understand what this show is all about!

First, I share a horrifying website design from… a graphic and website design company!  Your website represents the first impression of your business.  Is your website up to date?  People do tend to judge a business by it’s website.

Tali Ovadia from The Whole Bowl in Portland has created an incredible food cart business in that city.  In this episode I interview her, and we discuss how she came up with the idea, challenges she’s faced along the entrepreneurial journey, pricing strategies, menu creation, and other small business marketing lessons.

As usual, please let me know your thoughts about the episode – leave your comment below, it’s really easy to do, and I’d LOVE to hear whatever is on your mind!

Enjoy the show!

There was a fascinating experiment done in Europe that I wanted to share with you. It affects the way we buy clothes, and I’d love to get your thoughts on it.

This weeks question is from a viewer who is trying to sell software for use in doctors offices, but he’s running into some challenges.

This week’s Nifty Click is a resource for frequent travelers – I think you’ll really like it.

The BIG marketing lesson is from Jack Daniels, the whisky maker, but then you knew that already didnt you?!  Jack Daniels has created a “partnership’ with ol’ blue eyes himself, Frank Sinatra.  Its a great case study in celebrity branding.

As promised, at the end of the episode there’s a brilliant bit from the actor who played “Biff” in the movie Back to the Future.

As usual, please let me know your thoughts about the episode – leave your comment below, it’s really easy to do, and I’d LOVE to hear whatever is on your mind!

New viewer?  Good day to you!  Visit this start here page first to understand what this show is all about!

There’s a shocking advertising system being touted in England as the best thing since sliced bread.
I’ll show you their promo video, which in itself is scary!  What do you make of this?  I’d love to hear your opinion! Would you be happy to be pitched in that way as you walk down the street when shopping?!

Are you following me on Instagram yet?  I hope so 😉  I’ll give you some daily inspiration.

I take a controversial stand on SEO as you’ll see from the quote in this episode.  There were many ‘black hat’ methods that worked for awhile, but Google is smarter than that.  It’s ALWAYS been possible to rank a website well simply by providing fresh, relevant, interesting content on a user friendly website.  Google has been consistent in what they ask website owners to provide.

I hope you like this week’s Nifty Click.  It’s a great way to get good looking 3D graphics for Photoshop.

The BIG marketing lesson is from TIDE dry-cleaners, who recently opened up a store near me in Salt Lake City.
They sent a great postcard offer in the mail.

As usual, please let me know your thoughts about the episode – leave your comment below, it’s really easy to do, and I’d LOVE to hear whatever is on your mind!

I’m THRILLED to tell you that this this video podcast is still #1 on iTunes, above TED Talks, Harvard Business Review, Seth Godin, Clark Howard, Jim Cramer and Pat Flynn!  Now onto this week’s episode…

I hate, detest, severely don’t like going shopping for a new car.  You get the point. I’ll tell you what happened with my latest car buying experience a few weeks ago!  Let me know if you’ve had an experience like mine.  Why is it so hard to treat customers with respect?!  Share your comments below.

The “Ask Andrew” question is all about how to promote a product called the “Basket Geni” a product that viewer Jacqui Williams invented.  She appeared on Dragons Den in the UK (the show that Shark Tank is based on), and I share a few tips on how she might expand her market.  Please share YOUR suggestions for Jacqui below.

1 out of every 4 websites is made from WordPress.  Part of the magic is the ability to add plugins that perform specialist functions.  One of my favorites is BackupBuddy, a plugin that works extremely well to backup your site.
I install it on every new WordPress site. Check it out!

This week I unveil another new segment of the show: Crazy Commercials.  Online superstars Rhett and Link who host a great daily show called “Good Mythical Morning” – they created a series of VERY unconventional local TV ads.  On one level they make you cringe, on the other hand they really make you take notice!  I love how quirky this one is for THE RED HOUSE 😉

This weeks big lesson features B&H Photo Video, who do something quite extraordinary – they close the doors of their New York City superstore on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday – EVERY WEEK!  I’ll tell you why, and how it’s affected their business.

As usual, please let me know your thoughts about the small business resources I shared with you this week – leave your comment below, it’s really easy to do, and I’d LOVE to hear whatever is on your mind!

Enjoy the show!
